The Brighter Side [Open]

Fuchsia eyes flew open as the girl bolted upright, wide eyes glancing around trying to figure out just where she was. The details were hard to make out, blurred by her confusion, the grass beneath her was damp against her naked skin and the sky was a dark shade of blue, hiding most of her surroundings, though in the distance she could see some movement.

Scampering to her feet, stumbling slightly as she did so - her lack of coordination getting the better of her, she hurried across the open field. She couldn’t remember… well anything, but she was sure she had never seen this place before. As she tried to remember how she’d gotten here she merely got flashes of pale walls and.. chains? She squeezed her eyes shut, pushing the memories away. It didn’t matter what had happened before, she just needed to find someone who could take care of her now.

Bare feet quickened their footsteps as a large building came into sight, a lone figure walking towards it. “Nyu!” She called, trying to get the other’s attention. Diving forward her hand caught hold of their shirt, fingers tightening their grip as her gaze flew up to meet theirs. “Nyu?”

This was… strange, to say the least; this was among the onslaught of confused thoughts that ran through Itachi Uchiha’s mind before and after managing to obtain the details as to his secured position as a member of the school faculty, and his place of residence. Strange, because the last memory that he had been left with before he had awoken here was of the fading image of his brother, with darkness gathering at the edges of his vision and spreading as the clammy hands of death claimed him at long last— At least, he had thought it was death, but once he had examined his condition after his mind had fully ascended to consciousness, he found that it wasn’t the case, not likely. This wasn’t the afterlife.

The ailment that had taken root in him well over a year ago was still very much existent. The knife of it, however, seemed to  have dulled, the symptoms lessening in their severity, though Itachi had no doubt in his mind that they would act up once more given the right set of circumstances. And the first thing that he had noticed upon gaining consciousness? The clarity of the sight that was presented to him; it had left him momentarily stunned, accustomed that he was to his vision descending to darkness.

Itachi Uchiha hadn’t the faintest idea how he had come to be when he was supposed to have passed on, but if he was here, then it may well be someone else’s doing. And what had driven him to sign up for a job at an educational institution, of all things, he had yet to place much thought on; recklessness was not something—

“Nyu?”

Itachi paused, his current thread of thought interrupted by both the voice as well as the tugging on the fabric of his shirt. Nyu? How deeply invested in his musings had he been to not notice someone approach him…? His curiosity piqued and his guard raised an amount, he turned his focus on the source of the voice. … And what he saw knocked all speculation from right under his feet.

Was that girl naked?
